Idea 5: Leadership network(s)

Stakeholders are trying to find others who are proactively working to increase movement and tackle inequalities. The need for local leadership involvement in broader decision-making processes is also evident.

The idea is that Sport England would create a network of people who seek to lead the way in increasing movement and reducing inequalities in sport and activity. The network would be focused primarily on enabling relationships and collaborations – helping leaders to identifying others to connect with. This would allow the sharing of knowledge, skills and perspectives. This might – for example - enable someone to find other leaders in their place with shared purpose. It may enable someone working on a national decision to reach out to some local leaders. This network would be supported with a range of leadership training and development opportunities.
