Idea 13: Rebuilding the frontline professional workforce
We need to ensure that the frontline professional sporting and activity workforce has access to qualifications, training and support that reflect the needs of people who make up the workforce, current and future employers and to ensure that the quality of training and education is high.
The idea is to develop local skills maps and employment networks that identify skills needs locally and provide practical support and finances to develop micro-businesses. The idea also includes local volunteer development agencies and apprenticeship consortia that provide young people, especially from diverse backgrounds, with work experience and learning opportunities. This will equip more young people with high quality learning and experience from which to develop from within the sport and activity workforce.
