Idea 12: ‘Single front door’ for Sport England investment

Existing funding routes can be complicated and hard to navigate.

The idea is to simplify the process of accessing Sport England’s open funding by creating a single access point rather than multiple funding programmes. Sport England would match the right investment ‘offer’ to the project, idea or organisations. This would result in a simpler application process that starts with ideas and impacts and leads to best fit in terms of offers of support. This could include incentivising or subsidising collaborative approaches e.g. smaller clubs and organisations coming together to share facilities.
