Idea 10: The voice of young people in designing activity experiences
Insight has shown that where young people are involved and empowered in the design of activity, it increases their confidence and enjoyment and their ability to motivate others to be active.
The idea is to support activity providers to engage with young people, particularly those who are less active, in the design or delivery of their activities.
Focusing on inclusion, safeguarding and enjoyment, this will explore different approaches to involve young people in the design of activity. This could be greater consumer feedback, participatory grant making, or developing youth social action opportunities with sport and physical activity. Building on fantastic foundations from across schools, satellite clubs, youth work and local community groups, this would generate ideas and increase advocacy to support greater positive experiences of sport and activity for young people.
